Each year, dental meetings take place across the country. These are great opportunities for dental assistants to take courses and earn continuing education credits. But when you’re not in class, there are many ways to relax and connect with others.

In November, the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB) and its affiliate the DALE Foundation hosted a reception during the American Dental Association Annual Meeting. Nearly 100 dental professionals gathered together to network and learn more about the issues facing dental assistants.

At the reception, the DALE Foundation discussed its upcoming research project, “The Value of Dental Assistants to the Dental Practice,” and held a panel discussion on this same topic. The panel was generously sponsored by Henry Schein and Procter & Gamble. A-dec sponsored the raffle for the event.

“I enjoyed hearing the different perspectives of everyone on the panel,” one attendee said.

“It was a very nice evening with great food and incredible networking,” another attendee noted. “I’m glad I was invited and attended.”
